Biosketch

I am the Director of Servei d’Estadística Aplicada UAB (SEA). SEA provides training, technical assesment and integrated solutions to investigators and research groups at UAB and to other groups from private enterprises and public administrations. Since year 2000, the Statistical Consulting Service has assessed over 200 groups on more than 1200 projects, and has organized more than 130 courses (regular or on demand). I am also an associate professor in the department of Mathematics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. My research is devoted to applied statistics, in particular mixed models, ROC curves and sample size determination for experiments.
