I am full professor in the Department of Mathematical Engineering at the University of Chile (Santiago de Chile), on leave from the Department of Mathematics of the UAB (Associate Professor since 2007).

I completed my Bachelor degree in Physics in 1992 at the University of Athens (Greece), I obtained my Ph.D in Mathematics in 1997 from the University of the Aegean (Greece) and my Habilitation degree in Applied Mathematics in 2002 from the University of Pau (France).

Research lines

My main research interest is Variational Analysis and Optimization, focusing on real algebraic geometry techniques and applications to dynamical systems.
