I received the Technical Engineer in Electricity degree from the Escola d’Enginyeria Tècnica Industrial de Barcelona, in 1974, and the Telecommunication Engineering and Ph.D degrees in 1979 and 1982, respectively, and from the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyers de Telecomunicació, and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Currently, I am a Professor in the Departament de Matemàtica Aplicada 4, at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, that I joined in 1979, with teaching assignments at the School of Telecommunication, the Faculty of Mathematics, and the Ph.D. Program on Applied Mathematics. My current research interestsare the applications of Graph Theory, Combinatorics and Probability to some problems in Computer Science and Telecommunication. In numbers, my scientific output is as follows: 130 Papers in JCR indexed journals; 45 Papers in JCR non-indexed journals; 128 Oral presentations in Conferences; 7 Leaderships of Research Project I+D+i (CICYT); and 15 Supervisions of Ph.D. Thesis.
